Here's a preview of the peeps I made for Easter ...  I'll put up more shots of them soon.  I had such fun making these limbless peeps!  And I had some wonderful yarn to play with, sent to me by my friend, Romana, of YarnCloud Yarns (!  The textures and colors were exciting and fun!  I loved putting together the various color schemes for each of the basket/peep sets.

More about this soon... (well, we can hope, can't we?)

  1. These are amazing and so cute! I just recently learned how to knit (OK, I'm still learning). I can never find all of these lovely colors at my local craft's store! I hope I can get this good eventually.

  2. Thank you very much, Brynn! :o) You're so kind!I've been knitting since I was a child, and I'm still learning! ;o) After years of knitting flat, I finally learned to knit in the round on two circular needles, a few years ago, and I've been having great fun with it ever since! A terrific resource for beginning (or intermediate or expert) knitters is where they have wonderful videos of how to knit most stitches. After that, it's all just practice! Make what you enjoy... and make lots! ;o)I buy most of my yarn online, and loads of colors and textures are available at these places (and others) ...http://www.yarncloud.comhttp://www.knittingwarehouse.comhttp://www.joann.comPlus you can try yarn sellers on as well.Best of Luck on your knitting adventures! And have lots of Fun! :o)

  3. Awesome, those websites were just what I was looking for! My mom tried for years to teach me how to crochet, and it finally "clicked" about 6 months ago. I've been crocheting like a fool since, but it's so hard on my wrists. I taught myself to knit ( was so great compared to the book I was using) and quickly making progress. My first real project (after knitting a thousand "scarves") is a blanket for my sister in law, who I found out is about 2 months pregnant. It isn't without its mistakes, but I figure my new niece or nephew won't mind too much. I'm slowly amassing a TON of knitting stuff - much more than the crocheting supplies that I have. It's so much fun and a nice way to wind down after working all day. Thanks for the recommendations on the yarn! I can't wait to see what you come up with next :D
